Bring some sunshine to your wardrobe this summer by learning to embroider on to a garment of your choice. A plain t-shirt or vest top can be transformed into something eye catching and unique just by adding some beautiful hand embroidery. Textured roses, stem stitched leaves and delicate french knots will bloom within a design of your choice, either on the pocket of an item, the neckline, or even a cuff. This workshop with Lisa Dolson will be a relaxing and creative class learning a variety of embroidery techniques. This fun and therapeutic session will have you hooked on creating roses, leaves and little sprays of buds. Lisa can show you how to incorporate these stitches into a lovely piece of your choice by planning out the design and assisting with those lovely finishing touches such as a little beading.

With the embroidered apparel class you can stitch more than one item, if the attendee wants to bring more than one item that is fine.
Embroidered Apparel materials required
1 6" embroidery hoop (or whatever size you prefer)
1 embroidery needle
1 needle threader (if needed)
1 small pair of scissors
*1 small piece of water soluble fabric (*optional, alternatively you could use a washable fabric pen to draw out your design)
4 approx. different embroidery threads
1 piece of cut away stabiliser approx. 10" square (this is for behind your garment)
1 piece of fabric approx. 10" square in size (this is to practice stitches prior to sewing on your garment of choice)
1 garment or accessory you would like to embroider on (eg a vest top, t-shirt, denim shirt, bag etc)
You could bring some images you have for inspiration- happy to help you plan out the design of your choice.

Payment must be made to confirm the booking. Classes are non-refundable. Please check your diary carefully before you book a class!
With 14 days advance notice, we’re happy to transfer you to another workshop, space permitting, or issue you a voucher to use at your leisure.
If you find you are unable to attend one of our workshops after the 14 days notice period has lapsed, you may send someone in your place – please give us as much notice as possible about this. The alternative is that we make your booking available on the web site and in the shop again and if the place sells we will issue you a refund, if the place doesn't fill, we will give you a voucher which you can use toward another class.
If we have to cancel a class/workshop, we will let you know at least 48 hours in advance. We will offer a credit, transfer your booking to another workshop or issue you a full refund – your choice!
